Skaify

Affiliate disclosure

In short: if you buy a ticket from another platform through a Skaify link, that platform may pay Skaify a commission. It costs you the same. And that commission never changes the order in which Skaify shows you events.

What an affiliate link is

In the app, Skaify also shows you events from ticketing platforms, like Ticketmaster. When you open one to buy your ticket, the link may carry a tag that tells that platform you came from Skaify. If you buy, the platform pays us a share of what it charges. It's the normal way a recommendation gets paid for on the internet.

It doesn't cost you more

You pay the same as you would going in directly. The commission comes out of the platform that sells, not out of your pocket, and it doesn't change your seat, your time or your purchase terms. It also doesn't change who you go to if something goes wrong: the ticket belongs to that platform, not to Skaify.

The commission never changes the order

It's the rule that holds up everything else, and it's not just a promise: it's written into the code that does the ordering. Events from other platforms are ordered by date and time, and nothing else. That ordering can't see whether a link pays a commission, and the affiliate link is added at the very end, once the order is already set. An event doesn't move up because it pays a commission, and it doesn't move down because it doesn't.

Outside that last step, no part of the app checks which link pays a commission: not the events list, not the map, and not what Skaify recommends when you chat with it.

What a business pays for, and what that doesn't buy

We say it here so it doesn't look like we're hiding it. A business pays its Skaify subscription, monthly or yearly and for each location, to show up with its listing, post its events and say how its place is doing right now. That's what it buys: being present and being able to say what's going on. It's a different thing from the commissions on this page, and it stays that way.

Where this applies

It applies to links to buy tickets from other platforms that Skaify shows you in the app. It doesn't apply to Skaify Premium or to business subscriptions, which are payments to Skaify and not commissions, or to events that people and businesses create on Skaify.
